CONCERNING
STIPULATION OF IMPORT DUTY TARIFF ON RICE

MINISTER OF FINANCE,

Considering:

• a. that in the framework of maintaining the stability of the price of rice by steadfastly observing the interest of the farmers and consumers, it is necessary to make adjustment to the tariff of import on rice;
• b. that based on the consideration as intended in paragraph a., and in the framework to implement provisions of Article 13 paragraph (2) of Law No. 10/1995 concerning Customs as amended by Law No. 17/2006, it is necessary to stipulate a Regulation of the Minister of Finance concerning Stipulation of Tariff of Import Duty on Rice.

In view of:

• 1. Law No. 10/1995 concerning Customs (Statute Book No. 75/1995, Supplement to Statute Book No. 3612) as amended by Law No. 17/2006 (Statute Book No. 93/2006, Supplement to Statute Book No. 4661);
• 2. Presidential Decree No. 20/P/2005;
• 3. Regulation of the Minister of Finance No. 110/PMK.01/2006 concerning the Stipulation of Goods Classification System and the imposing of Duty Tariff on Imported Goods;

With due observance on:

Letter of Minister of Trade No. 1253/M-DAG/10/2007 dated October 8, 2007;

HAS DECIDED:

To stipulate:

THE REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF FINANCE CONCERNING STIPULATION OF IMPORT DUTY TARIFF ON RICE.

Article 1

For the import of rice, the rate of import duty imposed is as those stipulated in the Attachment to this Regulation of the Minister of Finance.

Article 2

Provisions of this regulation is applicable for rice import where in its Import Customs Notification had obtained a Registration Number from the Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office or Main Service Office at the entry port accounted for from the date this Regulation of the Minister of Finance comes to effect.

Article 3

With this regulation becoming effective, provisions on the imposing of tariff of import duty on rice as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Finance No. 93/PMK.011/2007 concerning the Stipulation of Import Duty Tariff on Rice is declared null and void.

Article 4

This regulation comes to effect from the date of stipulation.

For public cognizance, this regulation shall be announced by publishing it in State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
